Speaking about the arrest of a senior official of the Women and Child Development department for raping a minor girl, India Today Consulting Editor Rajdeep Sardesai highlighted a few allegations made by the saffron party against the Aam Aadmi Party's Delhi women panel.
Reacting on the allegations, Delhi Women Commission chief Swati Maliwal questioned the accused - Premoday Khakha's association with the women's panel. She said that he was not a part of her team. She questioned Delhi Police over the teen rape case.
Premoday Khakha was arrested on Monday on charges of raping his friend's 14-year-old daughter (now 17-years-old) over months and impregnating her. The official's wife, who is accused of giving the survivor abortion pills, was also arrested.
The Delhi government official has also been suspended on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's order.
