Bengaluru, often referred to as the "Silicon Valley of India", has been in the headlines for its challenging traffic conditions, high-paying yet demanding corporate jobs and, not to forget brow-raising homeowner tantrums. The city's work-life balance is frequently criticised, with images of residents working on their laptops in unusual locations often circulating on social media.

A recent picture, depicting a similar situation, has once again gone viral. On Friday, a user named @neelangana posted a photo on social media platform X, showing a man engrossed in his laptop inside a dimly lit movie theatre just as a film was about to commence.

Accompanying the image, @neelangana captioned, “When #Jawan first day is important but life is #peakbengaluru. Spotted at #Bangalore INOX. No emails or Teams sessions were harmed in capturing this pic. @peakbengaluru”.

The post sparked a flurry of comments, with many users expressing concern that the use of a laptop in a theatre could disrupt the viewing experience for others. One user responded, “Did you complain? Imagine navigating through traffic, shelling out a significant amount for a few hours of entertainmentâ€æand then having someone in front of you decide to do this. While I appreciate the hybrid work model, this is an extreme example of precarious hybridity.”

"WFH prevails all over India not just Bangalore! Also it's totally mannerless and there is a lack of discipline to disturb other movie watchers watching movies peacefully! I would have called bouncers and escorted you out," another user wrote.
