Tata Nexon facelift 2023: Launch date, expected price, bookings, features, colours & other details

Tata Motors has officially announced the launch date of the Tata Nexon facelift 2023. The Nexon has been the largest-selling sport utility vehicle (SUV) in India during the previous two fiscals at 172,139 units in FY23 and 124,130 units in FY22. In its new avatar, the vehicle is expected to perform much better than its predecessor.

The sub-4 metre compact SUV segment is not only the largest segment in the passenger vehicle (PV) market in terms of volume, it is also the most competitive, arguably. However, Tata Motors has been able to gain a strong foothold here, thanks to models like the Punch and the Nexon. The high safety rating of these two SUVs has definitely played a big role in it.

Now that we are not very far away from the Tata Nexon facelift launch, here are some important details you should know about the new model before its official introduction.

The Nexon facelift 2023 will be launched in India on September 14.

Tata Nexon facelift price (expected)

The Nexon facelift 2023 has 11 variants -- Creative, Creative+, Creative+ S, Fearless, Fearless S, Fearless+ S, Pure, Pure S, Smart, Smart+ and Smart+ S. We expect the vehicle to be priced in the range of Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Nexon facelift 2023 has received significant exterior and interior updates. There are new bi-functional LED headlamps with sequential LED DRLs. The bumpers have been redesigned. There are connected LED taillamps now. The SUV has new 16-inch alloy wheels.

The cabin now has dual-tone upholstery with a three-tone dashboard, having a leather mid-pad. There are ventilated leatherette front seats with leatherette armrest. There is now a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, 10.25-inch floating infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and IRA 2.0 connectivity tech. The feature-list also includes a capacitive touch panel, fully automatic climate control, navigation display on the instrument cluster, voice-assisted electric sunroof, air purifier, cooled glove box and wireless charger.

The vehicle comes equipped with safety features like six airbags, 360-degree surround view system with front parking sensors, blind view monitor, ESP, TPMS, auto headlamps with rain-sensing wipers, and front fog lamps with cornering function. The Nexon has the distinction of being the first made in India and sold in India car to achieve Global NCAP's five-star crash test rating.

Tata Nexon facelift specifications

The Nexon facelift has the same engine options as the outgoing model. There is a Revotron 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine (120PS/170Nm) and a Revotorq 1.5-litre diesel engine (115PS/260Nm). In addition to 6-speed MT and 6-speed AMT options, the petrol grade now gets 5-speed MT and 7-speed DCA. The diesel grade still has 6-speed MT and 6-speed AMT options.
