HAE-IN ON ‘SOMETHING IN THE RAIN’ INDIAN REMAKE
The popular Korean drama 'Something in The Rain' is all set to get an Indian remake, much to the delight of its immense fandom in India. In an interview with IndiaToday.in, Jung Hae-in expressed joy over the news, and hoped that the series would be as well received in India as it was in South Korea. “First of all, I am so happy and grateful that the series I appeared in will get a remake. I hope it gets made well in India and loved by many people,” said Jung Hae-in to IndiaToday.in.
The series ‘Something in the Rain’, apart from its romantic storyline, is also noted for its nuanced portrayal of societal expectations and gender stereotypes.
ABOUT HIS CHARACTER SEO JUN-HEE
The ‘Snowdrop’ actor also outlined the similarity between his real self and the character Seo Jun-Hee in 'Something in the Rain', sharing that he could personally relate to the portrayal of a man in love. Yet, he believes, all of his roles slightly mirror his actual self, making it tough to single out any role as being very similar to him.
“Acting as Seo Jun-Hee in ‘Something in the Rain,’ I thought "If I’m in love, I should do this," and I could sympathize with this character a lot. I think all of the characters are slightly look-alike to my real self, so it’s quite difficult to pick just one role which is similar to my actual self,” the actor recounted.
‘Something in the Rain’ featured Jung Hae-in alongside Son Ye-jin. Their chemistry in the show continues to be rated one of the best. Written by Kim Eun, the synopsis for ‘Something in the Rain’ reads: When a single career-driven woman reunites with her best friend's younger brother after he returns from three years of working abroad, their efforts to reconnect grow into romance.
