Shah Rukh Khan's ‘Jawan’ opens to packed houses in Srinagar

Shah Rukh Khan's film 'Jawan' finally hit theatres on September 7. It created history on its opening day as the film minted a whopping Rs 75 crore in India. At the worldwide box office, the film collected more than Rs 150 crore. The public anticipation around 'Jawan's' release was in evidence in Srinagar too, along with other parts of the country. According to ANI, the film opened to a bumper response in the city with houseful screenings.

'JAWAN' TAKES A BUMPER OPENING IN SRINAGAR

‘Jawan’ is already touted to be a box office winner. It is the biggest Bollywood opener of all time. The 'Jawan' fever also gripped Srinagar with the film going houseful in the city's lone multiplex. A fan told ANI, "We have set high hopes on this movie as the reviews are very good. I am very excited. Another moviegoer said, "Jawan is a massy entertainer. SRK collaborated with Atlee for 'Jawan'. I am big fan of Atlee's work. Everyone should watch this film."

'Jawan' released to a rousing response at Inox Multiplex in Srinagar on September 7 with all shows recording full occupancy during the day.

ABOUT 'JAWAN'

'Jawan' released worldwide in theatres on September 7, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Directed by Atlee, it stars Shah Rukh Khan along with Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani. Deepika Padukone is seen in an extended cameo.

The film is touted to be a commercial entertainer and features SRK in a double role - an intelligence officer and a thief. The film was shot across Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan and Aurangabad. Anirudh Ravichander composed for the film, and made his debut as a solo composer in Bollywood.
