Rajinikanth's film 'Jailer' hit the big screen on August 10, 2023. The film opened to a thunderous response from critics and audiences alike. Since the day it was released, the film has been performing exceptionally well at the box office. So far, the Nelson Dilipkumar movie has minted around Rs 330 crore at the Indian box office. Amid the success of 'Jailer', it's been revealed that the film will now be released on an OTT platform.
RAJINIKANTH'S 'JAILER' TO PREMIERE ON PRIME VIDEO
Prime Video made an official announcement about 'Jailer's OTT release on social media. The caption to the post read, "Jailer's in town, it's time to activate vigilant mode! JailerOnPrime, Sept 7 (sic)." The film will premiere on the OTT platform on September 7, 2023.

In an official statement, Nelson Dilipkumar said, "With 'Jailer', we wanted to create an entertainer that would showcase Thalaivar in an out-an-out action role. We are humbled with the astounding love from audiences and the exemplary words from media."

Nelson Dilipkumar further spoke about 'Jailer' being extremely special to him. "I had Rajinikanth sir to elevate the story with his signature acting style, and had superstars from the Indian film industry – Mohanlal sir, Shiva Rajkumar sir, and Jackie Shroff sir – to add their magical touch to this mass entertainer. We are excited for audiences across the globe to now enjoy this action drama, anytime and anywhere, from their homes," the filmmaker said.
