In anticipation of their arrival, stringent travel restrictions, security and traffic arrangements have been put in place. Chief Ministers get invitations to G20 official dinner. Here's who will attend

After receiving an invite to the G20 dinner, several Opposition chief ministers have expressed their inability to attend the official dinner hosted by the 'President of Bharat' on September 9. While Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu from the Congress is likely to attend, the final decision will be made on Friday. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot will not attend, citing various reasons, including health concerns. Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel is also unlikely to attend due to health issues. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan are unlikely to participate, while Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Odisha CMs are not attending. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, and Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren have confirmed their participation. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar decided to attend after late evening discussions among INDIA alliance partners. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal also confirmed his attendance, leading Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann to attend.

New Delhi is preparing to shine on the global stage as it welcomes world leaders from September 8 to September 10 for the G20 Summit. The city is adorned with vibrant murals, illuminated G20 billboards line its streets, and special arrangements are in place in hotels and restaurants. During this weekend, leaders from the world's 20 largest economies will gather to discuss critical global, economic, and geopolitical issues. The G20, consisting of 19 countries and the European Union, includes Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Under India's Presidency, the G20 Summit in New Delhi will see the participation of prominent leaders such as US President Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, among others, over the course of the next three days.
