Heavy rain in Delhi brings respite from humid weather, more showers ahead

The Regional Meteorological Centre in Delhi on Sunday predicted that light to moderate intensity rain with thunderstorms will continue over Delhi and adjoining areas.

The forecast shared by IMD in a post X (formerly Twitter) includes regions such as Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Bahadurgarh, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Gurugram, Faridabad, Manesar, and Ballabhgarh.

The maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi in the last 24 hours have been 32 and 24 degrees Celsius respectively.

In addition to this, several parts of Delhi experienced light rainfall on the intervening nights of Saturday and Sunday. Areas including Safdarjung, the airport region, Rajghat, Vasant Kunj, Munirka, and Narela received light showers that continued into the early hours of Sunday morning.

The weather forecast predicted more rainfall in the coming days, providing a much-needed respite from the humid conditions that have been prevalent in the national capital recently.

Furthermore, the IMD has also predicted rainfall in several districts of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

These include Mattanhail, Jhajjar, Farukhnagar, Kosali in Haryana, and Sikandrabad, Bulandshahar, Shikarpur, Pahasu, Debai, Narora, Atrauli, Raya, Hathras, Mathura, Jalesar, Sadabad, Agra, and Jajau in Uttar Pradesh.
