In the realm of politics, fashion has always been a powerful tool for expressing ideologies and beliefs. From Mahatma Gandhi to Martin Luther King Jr. to Hillary Clinton, leaders have used their attire to communicate their convictions. The ongoing G20 summit in New Delhi is no exception.

To begin with, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the host of the event, looked dignified in a white kurta and churidaar paired with a Nehru coat. His outfit changes throughout the event were noted, with each ensemble reflecting his penchant for traditional silhouettes.

The First Lady of the United Kingdom, Akshata Murty, and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak made quite an impression with their outfits. Akshata, daughter of Indian billionaire Narayana Murthy, wore an outfit that beautifully blended her Indian heritage with Western style.

She wore a long, billowy skirt adorned with multi-coloured floral patterns, paired with a crisp white shirt. Her ensemble was complete with statement heels, making it one of the looks that stood out at the summit.

Akshata's passion for fashion is well-known. She left her finance job in 2009 to launch her own clothing line after studying at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. Her brand collaborates with artists from remote Indian villages to design pieces using traditional Ikats, Chanderi, and Mysore silk, which she pairs with tweed and wool.

Her husband Rishi Sunak, looked sharp in a formal three-piece suit consisting of a white shirt, black blazer, pants, salmon tie, and formal shoes. His clean-shaven look and neat hairdo added to his polished appearance.
