Anti-NEET protest: Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin breaks down during protest

The ruling DMK is holding a state-wide hunger strike demanding the abolition of the National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test (NEET). The agitation is headed by Tamil Nadu Minister and the party's Youth Wing chief Udhayanidhi Stalin. He was joined by senior DMK leaders and cabinet ministers like Duraimurugan, Ma Subramanian and PK Sekar Babu, party MPs, MLAs and Chennai Mayor Priya R at the start of the protest in Valluvar Kottam. In response to Rahul Gandhi's critique of Prime Minister Modi's Ladakh claim, BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad asked the Congress leader how much of India's land was captured by China before and after the 1962 war. "They (Congress) ask for proof of the Balakot and Uri attacks. What can we even expect from them?... Today, when Rahul Gandhi talks about Ladakh, I want to ask him if remembers how much of India's land was captured by China before & after the 1962 war...The then Defence Minsiter AK Antony in the Parliament had said that 'We don't want to irritate China by erecting infrastructure'...This is your (Congress party) past..." he said.

In response to Rahul Gandhi's critique of Prime Minister Modi's Ladakh claim, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia emphasized introspection for the Congress. Scindia pointed out that the party, which once advocated "hindi chini bhai bhai" and ceded 45,000 sq km to China, should engage in self-reflection before questioning others' actions.

China has taken away people’s land in Ladakh: Rahul Gandhi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is on a visit to Ladakh, reiterated that “China has taken away people's land in the area”. He said, “Here, the concern is, of course, China has taken away the land...people have said that China's army has entered the area and their grazing land was taken away but PM said that not an inch of land was taken away, but this is not true, you can ask anyone here.”
