'Bagha Jatin' teaser: Dev Adhikari fights for India's independence and freedom

Dev Entertainment Ventures, on September 9, revealed the teaser of their much awaited Durga Puja release, 'Bagha Jatin' at Raasmanch, Swabhumi. Dev, along with Sudipta Chakraborty, Sreeja Dutta, director Arun Roy and the other cast and crew members of the movie were present for the teaser launch.

'BAGHA JATIN' TEASER UNVEILED

The teaser of Dev's upcoming film has been unveiled. On September 9, the makers of 'Bagha Jatin' released the teaser in two languages; Bengali and Hindi. In the teaser launch, Dev said, "Jatindranath Mukherjee is undoubtedly an inspiration for all. He is still alive in the heart of every Indian youth for his bravery and sacrifice. Bagha Jatin is our Durga Puja bonanza for the audience. The movie is going to revive on screen the thrilling journey of this hero and the story has been narrated on a huge canvas in a unique way."

"It was indeed a daunting task for me to finely portray every shade of this particular character on the big screen. I hope the cinegoers are going to enjoy the film. Moreover, the decision to present this inspiring story in Hindi will also open doors for millions of viewers across the nation to witness the story of Bagha Jatin,” said Dev, who will be seen playing the titular role in the film.

Arun Roy, the director of the film said, "The story captures the essence of the particular period of India's struggle for its Freedom and Empowerment. Dev, along with the other actors, did absolute justice to their respective on-screen characters. The movie aims to entertain as well as highlight the rich culture and history of our country. We hope to receive appreciation and strong support from the audience."

MORE ABOUT 'BAGHA JATIN'

Arun Roy and Sounava Bose have written the script and the dialogues. With Gopi Bhagat as the Director of Photography, the film's music and background score is composed by Nilayan Chatterjee.

The project is inspired from the life and journey of Shri Jatindranath Mukherjee, one of the significant figures in the History of India's struggle for independence. The movie will narrate the extraordinary tale of Jatindranath's fearless spirit, unwavering determination and unconditional love for his country. Jatindranath Mukherjee later came to be known as Bagha Jatin because he fought with a tiger with his bare hands.

'Bagha Jatin' is going to hit theatres across India this Durga Puja on October 19, 2023.
