An 18-year-old man was stabbed to death by a group of minors in Delhi's Sangam Vihar area on Saturday evening over a year-old dispute. The CCTV footage showing a group of seven to nine people thrashing and stabbing the victim multiple times has been recovered.

He was put on a ventilator in the hospital, but later referred to Safdarjung Hospital due to his deteriorating medical condition. However, he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

The police seized the weapon of offence (a knife) during the investigation.

Speaking on the case, DCP Chandan Chaudhary said that an FIR was registered in the case under several sections of the IPC and eight accused (all minors) have also been arrested based on the video footage.

According to the Delhi Police, the incident happened over a year-old altercation that had taken place after a minor fight between the victim's friends with a DJ (Disc Jockey) team.

On Saturday, the victim mistook one of the accused as a member of the DJ team and then he thrashed him and stabbed him.

Later, the person who was thrashed called his cousin, who reached the spot with his friend, and thrashed and later stabbed the victim multiple times.
